I spent yesterday discussing reporting standards for public country-by-country reporting, and will do the same today. Coincidentally Tax Justice UK published this letter to Greg Clark, the UK business secretary, and Philip Hammond, the chancellor, calling for public country-by-country reporting. I was, as Tax Research LLP, one of the signatories:
This is an idea whose time has come. If the UK is serious about its new role in the world it should start to take a lead on issues such as this.

Hmmmm. Big ‘if’.
I thought the new UK role in the world was to unofficially annex to the US in order to avoid being subject to any kind of international regulation.
