I was pleased to note this on the web site of International Tax Review yesterday (behind a paywall):
I have featured in the Global Top 50 Influencers on international tax in six of the last seven years, but this is my first appearance in the top ten for a while.
As they say of the list:
I am grateful to them for putting me at number 9.
I'll be even more pleased when we get public country-by-country reporting.
I will not be resting on my laurels next year. There are big new ideas in the course of development right now that will, I hope, considerably add to the armoury of risk assessment tools available to governments and tax authorities wanting to collect the tax owing to them.
Thanks for reading this post.

Congratulations and long may you continue to rain (sic) on the parade of those who intentionally debase the tax system here and abroad and thus undermine democracy.
Only No.9 Richard?
More work to do apparently 🙂
Good to see your labours recognised. Congratulations.
Well, at least I’m going up, on my re-entry
Despite doing something which will be of great benefit to the vast majority of us here and in Europe, I suspect you will NOT be on the list for an OBE in the New year’s Honours list.
But we appreciate you.
Would I want one?
Thanks….
Would you want an OBE?
Of course you would Richard. You’d lick a turd up off a pavement to get one.

Well, I suppose if you judge everyone by your own standards, Paul…..
Congratulations and well done Richard Murphy – keep up the good work!
Thanks
