The New York Times has a great tale of offshore available to read without charge on its site.
It's long.
It's worth it.
But I'd suggest there are better ways to manage $400 million.

oh what tangled webs we weave when first we practise to deceive – seems to be the moral of the story as well as – some people use off-shoring to conceal their real wealth, or lack thereof.
Given that Trump is a serial liar, do you believe this: Trump warns business on offshoring https://www.ft.com/content/ebfc1cf6-ba48-11e6-8b45-b8b81dd5d080?
It would be interesting if he tried it
Good luck Apple….
Talking of Apple, the latest is that in the Ireland/Euro13bn tax dodging case Apple is claiming that the E13bn is due to profits on R&D…….oh look another pig has flown past the window whilst doing a barrel roll.
If the choice was an Apple computer/phone or none – I’d chose none.
Fascinating – thank you.
I’m still reading the Brooke Harrington book you recommended.
The whole thing is a sham.
And the worst of it is is that the people running those shams now seem to be able to control the democracy that should actually put it to an end.
What better ways Richard? Give it to governments….who have shown over and over that they can not manage money. I mean. What is the biggest budget you have ever been in charge of? I mean one you can prove? There are people managing more every day than you have managed in your entire life. And you expect people to trust your crazy economic ideas?
Unlike the vast majority of those in parliament and academia I am a practicing chartered accountant with extensive experience of founding and running businesses
But it us true I have not run a macrorconomy but let me share a secret with you – no one has
But don’t let that worry you
It doesn’t worry me that you have never run an economy. It relieves me.
I am curious now. A practising accountant? I thought you worked full time in academia. Can you name one single company you currently represent? In fact one company you have founded and run? Your companies house record suggests nothing remarkable. A series of companies based at your own home that never traded. Can you fill in the gaps with verifiable facts?
To you, no
It’s been well published
