This is a brilliant piece of television that I happened to catch when I finally got in last night:
And his friends' reaction afterwards was one of the nicest bits of blokeishness I've seen for a long time: eat your heart out Clarkson.

Agreed – this was wonderful. Wonderfully spoken (scripted? who cares), wonderfully delivered, wonderful sentiments.
My wife, who was born without her lower left arm, said immediately afterwards how inspirational it was to see this on mainstream TV – someone actually talking about the challenges faced by disabled people, without seeking any special treatment.
I suspect it was rehearsed but delivered without autocue – he was not obviously looking at a camera
I admired his honesty and willingness to expose that
He deserved his hug from Josh Widdicombe
Ahmen to that.
