Not sure that’s helpful. It may annoy some Tory party donors but in truth most of the office-dwellers in these places love to think of themselves as “buccaneers”.
They need to grow up & understand that sitting in an office & helping a tyrant, kleptomaniac or drug trafficker hide money by moving numbers on ledgers doesn’t make you Hemingway, let alone Graham Greene & having an exotically named cocktail at sundown won’t achieve it either.
So, the Pirates of the Caribbean maybe? (Oops! – does that infringe someones copyright?)
So very true ….
Tackling the devastation caused by anonymous company ownership …
“The UK’s tax havens promised to do something, then (maybe) did it but kept so quiet about the results so that nothing on the ground actually changed at all.
It is still just as easy as ever for a wannabe tax evader or corrupt politician to set up a secretive offshore company that will enable them to disguise the ownership of their dirty money. And that’s despite the fact that the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Jersey and the Isle of Man all feature in the top 20 list of places most favoured by the world’s corrupt.”
