One of the people I advise wrote to me about a presentation they have been asked to give. That person said, seeking (I think) to find an excuse for not attending:
I will feel a bit like the pigeon amongst the cats though...
My reply was:
We are all potentially pigeons
The secret is to think you're the cat
The person in question is now, I am told, writing the presentation on the assumption it's being given by a cat.

Well, I’m a dog person in reality
Hector – the cocker spaniel – is resting behind me after his lunchtime walk as I write
we are due to pick up a new puppy in a few weeks. The old Labrador died in the summer.
Give Hector a pat for me.
He’ll take a pat from anyone
Named after the old IR tax character (OK, and Hector’s House)
Good luck with the pup – you’ll be busy
Preferably a big striped cat with sharp teeth.
