Sometimes one has to leave the keyboard behind and get a bit of inspiration.
This is my eldest son, our dog and Brancaster beach, north Norfolk, tonight:
Where was everybody?

Inspiration indeed!
Almost “green” with envy…in the nicest possible way.
Lovely post from you.
It was truly stunning
I prefer Holkham Bay!
Dawn, walking down Lady Anns Road, listening to the geese.
Then the walk to the beach and along to Burnham OS…..
ThereÅ› a really nice pub in Thornham, on the 149, I think called the old Coach House…
I may make it back to Norfolk later this year..
Holkham us great for birds – I agree – and I live the walk through the trees too
But Brancaster was for The Jolly Sailor – which the boys live last night – a look at the Staithe – and then the beach down to Titchwell and back (not much bird excitement)
But frankly all of it is amazing
Enjoy it too
That’s not just a photo, it’s a picture. Great composition – stunning place, subjects and time but also a good eye behind the camera.
Thank you
I appreciate that
We went on holiday to Norfolk in 2011 and I remember Brancaster being my favourite of the beaches we visited. It’s amazing how few people go to the beach in the evenings, even in the summer holidays! Great photo.
There were a few others
But very few
I feel slow and refreshed by it this morning
And full of ideas
I was sailing on the Trent as the sun set yesterday evening, Richard. There were only two of us on that stretch of the river. Not as picturesque as your beach, but very tranquil nevertheless (and a Kingfisher seen fishing as a bonus).
Hope the book goes well.
Kingfisher – I am jealous
Book, going, not sure well yet
