I can't recall now for how long I've done the budget commentary on the Jeremy Vine Show; it's several years now.
So since it's another budget day at 12.25 and then again just after Osborne sits down I'll be in the Radio 2 studio with Jeremy and whichever right winger they find to take me on this time. Not Mark Littlewood again, surely?

Radio again……have you considered getting a better suit!
Ha ha
I like radio
I like Radio 2 format best
They let me heckle
Hello Richard
Nothing to do with the budget. Nothing new, but thought you might be interested in this ref to wealthy investors buying farmland as it doesn’t incur inheritance tax. This might (with reservations) be alright for genuine farmers, but is certainly not alright for wealthy investors.
See article in Farmers Weekly under heading DYSON CLEANS UP IN LINCOLNSHIRE.

Richard, your heckling was very effective. I expect the bloke from The Adam Smith Institute wished he was on a different format
I think it fair to say he was not happy
But I played strictly by Radio 2 rules that allow and encourage such interventions
But given how badly informed he was on almost all issues he did make it very easy
Yes he did seem pretty clueless. I must say it was quite entertaining listening to nearly every point he made being demolished before he could finish making it. I got the impression the host found it quite amusing too!
