I'm proud to be on the advisory board of Class - the new think tank funded by the union movement.
The Guardian did a good feature on it today. Take a read, here.

BBC update. Stephanie Harris “Turning to Robert Shiller, we cannot give an undertaking that the BBC will make a series on Professor Shiller — there are countless competing claims in terms of both topics and distinguished academic experts. What I can say is that in any documentary coverage of housing bubbles, it is most unlikely that we would omit to take into account Professor Shiller’s very influential analysis and views.”
I asked them to list the authors their ‘countless claims’, and they won’t. But they will listen attentively to ‘City commentators’ and give you the FTSE every hour on News 24.
I’ve reached the point now where I can only explain the BBC in class terms: they must think that it is impossible for the people with RP accents like themselves (only 3% of the UK population), who went to their prep and public schools, could possibly make such a horlicks of the economy. I don’t like getting all Bourdieu about things, but I’ve run out of alternatives.
