Sorry, I don’t agree. Yes inequality can lead to all sorts of problems, but by the looks of the angle being taken here, this film is going to be aimed at moaning about big business and the rich, then saying how we should help the poor more through welfare.
The state is too big, it must be reduced. Once the country tips over the 50% barrier of what is private and what is public (e.g. the amount paid in tax, so given to Govt to use), we are ruined. I can see a correlation where the size of the state correlates with the amount of inequality and poverty.
Some things I’m interested in right now: reform the tax system (simplify, flat tax, abolish certain taxes), reform welfare (simplify, abolish certain welfare) and reduce the size of the state (cut public office jobs, decentralise power).
That is dogma
Not logic
Not fact
Just rhetorical, biased and failed dogma
Because what you’ll guarantee is mass unemployment, business failure and a failed state
Jack, you have no analysis or understanding of what caused this crisis.
It was free market capitalism that caused the crisis not the state. The fall of Lehman Brothers, Fanny and Mae, Northern Rock, RBS, Halifax, Lloyds, were not caused by an overbearing state but by the opposite, a state too scared to get involved.
You are peddling a failed ideology which will lead to more failure and chaos.
