Thanks

The likes of Georges will not be stopping me

Re the email: apologies. I can't change that. But the mail is never disclosed, and I don't have a note of it

I'm sorry to say your right Richard. Jersey is one of the most uncaring government's in the western world. In one year they have removed my wife's transport mobility allowance and introduced top-up fees for my two kids at university making me £5,000 a year worse off in one fell swoop.
Apparently because I earn the princely sum of £35,000 (sole bread winner) a year my wife is no longer eligible for transport mobility allowance. The fact that she paid her social security stamps all her working life is deemed irrelevant because health and social security now calculate these allowances on family income from everyone in the household.
As my wife paid her dues she should be treated as an individual in her own right what bunch we have.
Keep on with the commenting Richard we need people like you to show the world what a lousy uncaring bunch of self satisfying self serving bunch we have lording it over us.
Andy.
P.S. There’s a problem with the amount of characters that can be input to the email field it seems to be limited to twenty. I’ve had to use another email address which I prefer for family use only .

Georges

Your second para is true

But it can never happen when you hold the world in contempt as your third para does

That's your problem

Richard,

Bully on you.

The key, I think, is to line up principles with deep sources of cash. Get good at what you do and watch it come tumbling (cascading, if you are really good) in.

That of course is when the real trick begins: how to keep the majority of one's hard earned cash/wealth without having it gobbled-up by perpetually tax-starved beast of governmentalism.

Georges

I was appointed because of my views

I would not change them to please Senator Walker

For some of us (but no one I've ever met on the Right, which is why you don't understand this) cash is much less important than principles

Richard,

So, is the real reason TR-UK is always banging on about the so-called "evils" of Jersey due to the fact the fees were cut-off?

Looks that way from here.

As to the list of "pernicious" evils you list in your post, good on Jersey for finding a way to build a comparative advantage in helping their economy. Perhaps the success of Jersey is indicative of problems with the tax structures elsewhere.
