Agreed. What are the International Accounting Standards Board up to?

In fairness, even they have doubts about the SME standard.

And I entirely agree with you about late accounts. There is no reason for a nine-month time delayed by the way: everyone leaves it to the last minute so what is the problem of having a shorter time period?

		<description>I agree with you about fair value accounting - a term which is I think plain wrong.  But your statement should read "fair value accounts are worthless" if it is to give a true and fair view!</description>

Would you agree though that even accruals accounting starts to lose its value if the accounts are prepared 9 months after year end, if there are no more recent figures to look at?
