Complete nonsense

No one has to do business with anyone

Ethical codes of conduct are legal - as is the case on certain forms of advertising of food products and products aimed at children

The BBC could refuse these adverts

And it should

I don't like tax havens either. But the BBC receives no license fee to pay for worldwide services. It must advertise if the service is to exist. To describe an advertisement as the BBC "promoting" a product assumes all advertisers endorse all products advertised. This is a preposterous suggestion.. Clearly they don't. In fact, you advance the company by sugesting that the BBC promotes it. If broadcasters turned down advertisements from advertisers who satisfied the law, which these companies do, they would be in court in about 2 seconds.
